CAVP is a women with disability led organization working to advocate and promote respect of rights for girls and women with disabilities, young women living with HIV AIDS and survivors of gender-based violence. We are very keen in prevention, mitigation and response to gender-based violence (GBV) and other forms of violence against women and girls with disabilities. CAVP invest in building economic skills, digital skills, advocacy, education, awareness, provision of start-up grants, medical assistance to children with sickle cell anaemia. We advocate and promote respect of rights to inclusion, participation and empowerment for girls and women with disabilities, young women living with HIV AIDS and survivors of gender-based violence. We promote Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Creating awareness amongst adolescents with disabilities and HIV about safe sexual practices and ways to prevent STIs. Educate on menstrual hygiene and body care, training women and girls on practical ways to use reusable and disposable sanitary pads, HIV prevention, and positive living.  We promote rights through advocacy and social media campaigns using content creation and digital stories. We are passionate about individual self-care and wellness to maximize healthy working conditions and have a greater impact on our team and the community we serve.

Our mission is “improving the lives of women/girls with disabilities, adolescent and young women living with HIV AIDS, survivors of gender-based violence and other vulnerable women and girls in the North West Region through economic empowerment, awareness, education, prevention and mitigation of gender-based violence in collaboration with services and groups that raises their standards of living”

We believe women have the right to experience life free from poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination; so we visualize a world without poverty in which the rights of vulnerable women are respected, they are empowered, uplifted and have the right to equal partnerships in the society
