Preventing Violence Amongst Women and Girls with Disabilities Through Economic Empowerment
With funding from the Feminists in Action
Project and coordinated by CARE Cameroon, CAVP has trained 120 women and girls with disabilities on income generating skills in Santa, Bamenda I, II & III sub divisions. These women now have improved knowledge on the production of local powder and liquid soap for laundry and other hygienic purposes.
CAVP has further trained approximately 720 women and girls with disabilities on GBV awareness, identification, speaking out and reporting. These gained knowledge on the referral pathway, psychosocial support, and how to access services in local communities.
CAVP through this project has carried out advocacy on policy review to promote inclusivity for persons with disabilities in leadership and decision making.
